11 days without blogging

Tuesday, January 10, 2006

11 days without blogging, man, I must be on something.

It's not that I've been lazy, just very preoccupied. What with birthday planning, maintaining a household without my parents - and working full-time, it's tough.

I don't know as of yet, but I'm considering moving my blog elsewhere. Don't get me wrong, Blogdrive has been good to me. Afterall, I've been here since Nov. 30, 2003. That's a damn long time, and I've been loyal.

But, I feel that 2006 will be a big year for me. If 2005 wasn't enough, what with travelling, work and family, 2006 is going to totally outdo it all.

So, change of lifestyle, change of scenery.. goodbye Blogdrive, hello something new.

Lastly, I apologise for my laziness, but I'll be back soon with something.

Merry Xmas..somewhat

It has been a CRAZY 4 day break.

On Friday, I had to work right up until everyone had left, and didn't get those few hours in the afternoon off like everyone else did. I had to leave work in the blistering heat and make my way home to entertain the family & friends coming over for my Dad's birthday party / farewell party for PI.

It was a bit of a strange party, my sister & Dad kept ushering us upstairs to have a 'Family opening Xmas presents' time. It was pretty nice actually, I haven't felt more like a family in such a long time. It was there that Chris proposed to my sister, and it was downstairs they announced their engagement.

So.. CONGRATULATIONS to Reena & Chris for their engagement, in just over a year that they've been dating - I haven't seen my sister happier. I wish them all the best.

Early Saturday morning, we dropped off my parents to the airport and I got all teary-eyed - I was a bit sad that day. Didn't want to think of spending another Christmas without them.

What cheered me up a bit, was seeing this asian dude using the free internet at the airport to look at porn. In front of everyone. What a TOOL. But a funny tool. hahahahaha

Saturday, I had to run a few errands, one of which I had to sell my tickets to 'Trashed Before Christmas'. There was a mix-up on when my brother & his girl was coming over for dinner, so I couldn't go, much to my disappointment and my anger for people stuffing me around.

So Christmas Eve, it was a quiet one at home with my siblings, their partners & chin having dinner at my house and bringing out the telescope and playing games. Nice and cosy...

Christmas Day, we went to Chris' mums house in Glenmore Park and went for a swim and lunch. Very hot day, so the pool was perfect ! Afterwards, we had a drink up at Matt's house into the late hours of the night, and yet another swim in his pool. Very tiring day, but an eventful one.

Boxing Day, did the trek to chin's house since I'm crashing at his house for the next 3 weeks. We watched 'Narnia' that night, good movie. I loved the special effects, and although there was no blood - the special effects kept me entertained. I still liked 'King Kong' better.

Yesterday, went to Manly with chin to have brunch and a swim. We also went to Northhead cliffs and the view was spectacular, but a bit too much for a very hot day. Afterwards, we drove over to Ben's place to hang out with him and Makoto for a bit and have dinner with them.

Then we made the trip home and sleep it off so I could get my ass into work today.
